Horsetail has a long history of use to treat urinary issues. It is also suggested to be beneficial for promoting bone and joint health because of it’s high silica content. Large quantities of horsetail can be poisonous to livestock, and people should use caution when using this herb.
We hand harvest our Horsetail on our farm where the land is breaking away into the Pembina river where it grows in abundance on the on the mineral rich exposed subsoil.
