Description
Lemony flavour with a hint of mint, Lemon balm can be used in place of lemon, however it should be added to the end of cooking to preserve the flavour. It is a common ingredient in Asian cuisine. It is often consumed as a tea, or in salads, salad dressings and deserts. You can also make a flavourful tea with Lemon balm or a tincture or add it to a herbal oil infusion either on it’s own or with other calming herbs like chamomile and valerian root. Lemon balm is considered a calming herb that reduces stress and promotes relaxation.
